During this year, we have to look for the good things we can
get from the bad, and thankfully one of the great things is the quantity of
great new blues albums that are being released. Many bands never had time to
really sit down and put pen to paper, and this very strange year although has
taken away the beauty of playing live gigs. This has given many bands a chance
to put all their efforts into recording their albums.
Thanks to this, Blues Highway has recently got to know an
Italian Rock’n’Roll band called HENRY
& THE SCREAMERS. The band was born in 2018, with Enrico Ballante (Henry) bass guitar, Double bass, harmonica and
vocals then Luca Moriconi (Luck), guitar
and vocals and Marco Cupelli, drums,
cajon and washboard. The band mainly plays as a trio, but in most occasions and
especially for the new album there is Ermete Gasparrini, Hammond and piano and Letizia Leti, backing vocals and vocals.
The band known for their Rock’n’roll in the years have partecipated in various blues festivals, now as everyone blocked by the co-vid have given life the debut album “TUTTA COLPA DEL ROCK ‘N’ ROLL” translated “ALL FAULT OF ROCK 'N' ROLL”.
An album of nine tracks, of which 5 original songs:
TUTTA COLPA DEL ROCK’N’ROLL THE DANCE OF FOOL NON DIRMI DI NO BLUESMAN DI PROVINCIA DICK DALE
Plus 4 covers of which Henry & The Screamers insert their own personal touch.
A great italian rock’n’roll band to keep your eyes on and when there is rock’n’roll and these guys, just turn up the volume and enjoy!
